Thanks, Georgia!

That was nice.  America needed the sweep last night.

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell also sounds nice

There is story in Politico today and a few unnamed Republican strategists blame Donald Trump for last night’s defeat of the two Republican incumbents.

That’s the problem with the Republican Party.  Stop being an unnamed source.  Step forward and take back your party.  Gutless.

These Republicans never learn.  Texas U.S. Sen. John Cornyn said yesterday that he couldn’t go along with overturning the election results and he got slapped by Trump.  Here is from the Chron:

In a tweet Tuesday evening, Trump called Cornyn and the top two Senate Republicans, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, “the weak and ineffective RINO section of the Republican Party.”

Cornyn deserves it for sure.

According to state law, Tarsha Jackson, the newly sworn-in H-Town District B, City Council Member, is not qualified to serve as a council member.  She can vote in city elections. She just can’t be on City Council.

I have my two 2021 wall calendars up.  On is the Beatles and the January photo is of the Four Lads from 1962.  The other calendar is “The Wizard of Oz” with a photo and quote for each month.  January’s is a photo of the Wicked Witch with “I’ll Get You, My Pretty.”  That quote is number 99 on the American Film Institute’s Top 100 movie quotes of all time.

Six years ago today, Craig Biggio was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
