¡Viva Mexico!

It’s Mexico’s Independence Day.

Yes, I am a proud Mexican American.

This year we didn’t have the Fiestas Patrias Parade. Oh, well.

I will probably check out some Pandora YouTubes this evening while watching the Astros.

We have 48 days until Election Day 2020 and Erica Grieder has a column today on the Texas AG’s race in 2022.   Former Galveston mayor Joe Jaworski is running.  Here is the column: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/columnists/grieder/article/Texas-AG-s-race-has-already-begun-15570145.php.

Donald Trump is going after former Vice President Joe Biden on his cognitive skills by referring to him as Sleepy Joe or Slow Joe.  Last night Trump said something about herd mentality – huh?  It is herd immunity. He said he upplayed the virus not downplayed – upplayed doesn’t exist in the dictionary.  He also went after Biden for not implementing the mask mandate – huh?  In all fairness, Biden is the leader of the Democratic Party and all the Dems I know wear a mask.

The first debate is in 13 days.

Jim Cramer is an idiot.  We can all agree on that.

Infielder Hector Torres played for the Astros for four years in the late ‘60s and early 70s.  He was born on this day 75 years ago In Monterrey, Mexico.  ¡Feliz cumpleaños!

MLB came out with its playoff schedule and locations.  As long as the games are on TV, it doesn’t matter much to me.  We still don’t get to go to the games.  Just so you know, an NLDS series will be held at The Yard.  Maybe the whiny Dodgers will get to play here. That would be funny.

We got a scare last night when Carlos Correa went down.  Now it looks like he is day to day.

We won last night.
