Lousy Chron Headline

The Houston Chronicle was very irresponsible with their lead headline today in the hard copy.  Here it is:

CDC tells states to get ready for vaccine

Here is how the story starts out:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has notified public health officials in all 50 states and five large cities to prepare to distribute a coronavirus vaccine to health care workers and other high-risk groups as soon as late October or early November.

This is a shame.  The Donald Trump folks are telling the CDC to put this out to raise hopes right before the November 3 election.  This is not front page worthy.  Medical talking heads poo pooed this yesterday and said it could also have folks lose confidence in a vaccine.  We are not near a vaccine.  A couple of medical experts said on CNN yesterday that they wouldn’t take a vaccine at the end of next month. Thanks for falling for the BS, Chron.  What are they thinking?

Some pro-choice folks don’t want pro-choice Planned Parenthood to endorse pro-choice GOP State Rep. Sarah Davis. Got it?  Here is the Chron story: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/houston/article/abortion-activist-houston-republican-planned-texas-15538928.php.

Commentary’s take is it sounds like the pro-choice folks don’t want pro-choice Planned Parenthood to endorse pro-choice GOP State Rep. Sarah Davis because pro-choice GOP State Rep. Sarah Davis is not a pro-choice Democrat.

Some folks have opined for a long time that Planned Parenthood was an extension of the Democratic Party.  Stay tuned.

Commentary is not going to defend U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for stepping in it big time.  This isn’t going to move a single vote, but still.  Doesn’t she have smart people working for her that can check out what the guidelines are for hair salons.  Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

The Rockets advance and now play the other team from LA. Okay, Okay.  I need to show more respect for the Lakers and LeBron.

The Astros also held on to win.  We wrap up the homie today against the Rangers at 1 pm.
