Forum Tonight

We are 90-49 and tied for the best record in MLB. How many times, including this season, has the team finished with 90 or more wins in a season?

I put out a booboo yesterday. Tomorrow at 5 pm is the filing deadline for the #TXHD148SpecialElection, not today.  Got it? Sorry.

A mayoral campaign forum will be held tonight.  From the Leader:

In a few days from now, the men and women who hope to lead the city of Houston for the next four years will gather on a stage and be forced to answer my questions. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

If you haven’t heard or read about it, Super Neighborhood 12, covering central and northwest Houston, along with the Garden Oaks Civic Club, announced they’ll hold a forum for the candidates running for mayor of Houston on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m.

The mayoral forum, held at Garden Oaks Montessori Magnet, will include all the “major” candidates, including incumbent Sylvester Turner, Bill King, Tony Buzbee, Sue Lovell and Dwight Boykins. Some of the lesser known candidates, like Kendall Baker, Derrick Broze and Naofal Houjami also will be on stage.

Including this season, the Astros have won 90 or more games 9 times.

The Dodgers have 10 homies remaining and 12 roadies.

The Yankees have 8 homies remaining and 15 roadies.

We have 13 homies remaining and 10 roadies.

Advantage us.

Commentary is not going to say anything about our closer Roberto Osuna and his mental gaffe yesterday that could have cost us a win that we needed. Very unprofessional. Sigh.
