The MLB All Star teams are set. Which league has the most All Star game wins?

H-Town City Council Member and mayoral candidate Dwight Boykins stepped in it yesterday. Go to twitter and find #BoycottBoykins or go to Kuffer here for more details http://offthekuff.com/wp/?p=91251.

I don’t know what else to add to this.

We will find out if former H-Town Council Member Sue Lovell gets in the mayoral race today as some folks expect.

More folks are weighing in on moving the Battleship Texas. This time it is Cong. Brian Babin from the 36th District.

Chron columnist Jenny Dial Creech has a good take on netting at The Yard. Here is part of her take:

As the season goes on, there will be more.

Yes, fans should pay attention at games. But it’s unrealistic to believe every one of them will.

Between all the extra bells and whistles — the state-of-the-art video board displays, vendors shouting up and down the steps of each section, the mascots and several other distractions — there’s a lot going on.

And even for the fans paying close attention, there is little time to react.

So make it better. Make it safer. Add netting.

Don’t put another child through something that can be avoided. And don’t put players through the emotions that come from putting their fans in harm’s way.

Here is her entire column: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/columnists/dialcreech/article/Ballpark-safety-concerns-are-on-the-rise-14061440.php.

I think they will extend the netting. I just don’t think it will be all the way to the foul pole. They will probably make an announcement toward the end of the season.

The AL All Stars have 44 wins and the NL All Stars have 43 wins of course. There have also been 2 ties.

We have six players on the AL All Stars. We swept the Mariners this weekend. We had 2 walk-off wins. We have a 6 ½ game lead. We go to Denver for 2 and come home this weekend to host the Angels.
