The Astros lead MLB in roadie wins with 41. Name the team at the bottom of the list in MLB roadie wins?

49 years ago today, one of the most famous photographs was taken.  Commentary is talking about the Abbey Road Album cover.  Now you know.

The Elections Division from the County Clerk’s Office put this out yesterday:

Early voting for the Harris County Flood Control District Bond Election gets underway Wednesday, August 8, and ends Friday, August 21. Forty-five locations will be available to Harris County registered voters during the twelve day early voting period which includes two weekends.

I went and checked the schedule and read at first glance that it said August 8 – 10, then August 13 – 14. What happened to this weekend’s August 11 – 12? I called the Elections Division and they told me those dates were additional and were listed at the end of the schedule. I found them, and they were listed at the end after the three translations listings.

I asked why did they list it at the end? Explanation, it is in blue ink which means that on those weekend days, only the locations listed in blue ink will be open. Those in black ink won’t be open this weekend, but they will be open next weekend?

Those in black ink are Kashmere, Fiesta, the Bingo Hall, the County’s Public Health Office on the West Loop, Northeast, Galena Park, Tracy Gee, Lincoln Park, Atascocita, Crosby, Baytown, Scarsdale, MUD 81, Cypress, Living Word, Jersey Village, Juergen’s Hall, Fallbrook, Champion Forest and Spring and they will not be open this weekend. Got it?

I guess my questions with the Elections Division got them to thinking so they came out with this later:

Early voting for the Harris County Flood Control District Bond Election gets underway Wednesday, August 8, and ends Tuesday, August 21. Forty-five locations will be available to Harris County registered voters during the early voting period.

Got it?

Both statements included the following:

Voters are strongly advised to review the detailed early voting schedule at www.HarrisVotes.com before heading to a polling location to cast their ballot.

From the Houston Hispanic Chamber:

Vote YES for Proposition A.

The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce supports Proposition A in the current Harris County Flood Control District Bond Election.

Proposition A is a $2.5 billion bond proposal to help finance a 10- to 15-year program of flood mitigation projects including improved drainage, upgraded warning systems, home buyouts, and construction of more detention basins.

Go vote early.

From the where is my dignity department, check this from the Chron:

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has asked President Donald Trump to come to Texas to campaign for him.

During a campaign stop in Seguin late Monday, Cruz said he has reached out to his former rival for the White House to help him with his re-election effort against Democrat Beto O’Rourke.

“I would certainly welcome his support, and I hope to see him in Texas,” Cruz said, standing outside the Dixie Grill in Seguin. “I think we are likely to see the president down in Texas before the election.”

Cruz said while his relationship with Trump has had its “ups and downs” due to their 2016 GOP primary battle, he has tried to become an ally to the president. He said he has been in constant contact with the White House and Trump directly to offer his help in getting legislation through the Senate.

Commentary would love to have Donald Trump in H-Town right about the time of Early Voting in Person. He would be great for Dem voter turnout in these parts.

Oh yeah, Sen. Cruz will say anything to keep him in good graces with Trump’s base.

B’More of course comes in dead last in roadie wins with 14.

73-42, without Altuve, Correa, Devo, McCann, McCullers, and #SpringerDinger.

We have today off.
