After 61 games, the ‘Stros are 37-24 and in second place, one game behind the Mariners. After 61 games last season, where were we in the standings?

Looks like the Texans are getting over on their cheerleaders. They even got national run on the “Today” show this morning. Here is from the Chron this past weekend:

My advice to President Clinton, if you don’t like the questions, don’t do a promotional tour. His act definitely isn’t working this time around.

After 61 games last season, we were 43-18 and in first place with a 13 game lead of course.

The first place Mariners visit The Yard for two tomorrow and Wednesday.
