Will Happen

Sorry for the delay again.

From Rebecca Elliott’s Chron article yesterday:

Mayor Sylvester Turner joined dozens of mayors Thursday in pledging to uphold the Paris climate agreement, after President Donald Trump announced he would withdraw the United States from the landmark 2015 deal to lower greenhouse gas emissions and limit global warming.

As of Thursday afternoon, 61 mayors had signed the statement promising to “build and strengthen relationships around the world to protect the planet from devastating climate risks.”

Houston, the largest municipal purchaser of green power, has pledged to cut city greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050 from 2007 levels. It trimmed emissions by 35 percent over the last decade.

The City of H-Town joining the SB 4 lawsuit is next. It is going to happen. I don’t have a doubt. H-Town has the largest Latino immigrant community in Texas. We have to be in the game. We are not going to be on the sidelines.  It would not make sense.

On page A2 of today’s Chron, there is an excellent full pager on how the 2017 ‘Stros were built. It is a must read for all ‘Stros fans.

On the front page of the Chron Sports Section, there is story on Carlos Correa’s monster month of May. Another must read for all ‘Stros fans.
