Commentary has said before that Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server was not a good move. Team Clinton messed up on that one and they are going to pay the price.
FBI Director James Comey was blasted by GOP partisans yesterday for not moving forward with charges against Hillary. Rudy Giuliani, Sen. Ted Cruz, Speaker Paul Ryan and others unloaded on the Director.
So Director Comey and his team of experienced investigators spent a year and thousands of hours going over Hillary’s emails and came to a well researched position. Meanwhile, Giuliani, Cruz, Ryan and others watched Fox News and read a few news clips and came to a different conclusion.
Now it looks like the GOP controlled Congress will hold hearings and have the Director defend his decision.
This isn’t going away but I’ll take this over a prosecution any day.
Since the MLB All Star Game’s result began dictating home-field advantage in the World Serious, what is the record between the AL and NL?
The good news for Team Clinton yesterday other than not getting prosecuted is that Donald Trump is still our opponent. Trump failed to fully capitalize on yesterday’s news. Check these tweets:
Paul Ryan when told of Trump’s comments on Sadaam Hussein tonight: “He was one of the 20th century’s most evil people.”
Conservative radio host, Paul Ryan agree: Donald Trump’s anti-Semitic tweet is part of a larger Trump problem
Commentary hates to say this, but Team Clinton is a long way from overcoming the trust thing. We need to instead focus on the leadership thing. Stay tuned.
Since the All Star Game’s result started determining home-field advantage in the World Serious, the AL has won 10 of 13 of course.
The Astros had two players, second baseman Jose Altuve and closer Will Harris, named to the 2016 All-Star Game presented by MasterCard Tuesday evening, and the club has a chance for a third as right fielder George Springer was named an Esurance Final Vote nominee.
Unsurprisingly, Altuve garnered the most fan votes (3,013,214) of any American League second baseman and was named an All-Star Game starter for the second straight year. Altuve leads the Majors in batting average (.352) and hits (116) .
Springer is up against some very popular players like Pedroia, Longoria, and Kinsler. It is going to be tough. Vote Springer!
They were having problems with the AC at The Yard last night. They finally got it fixed. It was a three dinger night for the ‘Stros. We’re still 7 ½ games out.
