I wonder how many folks will attend. Better yet, I wonder how many folks are interested or give a rat’s arse about changes to the City Charter three weeks before Christmas. Of course, sometimes you never know who is going to show up. There may be surprises. Like maybe all of the Rev Cap diehards. Sometimes you just don’t know what you are getting into.
I will probably watch it on the computer if they have it online.

This is a no brainer. I am talking about the St. Louis Police Officers Association blasting the St. Louis Rams players for doing a “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” protest before Sunday’s game. All of the participating players were of the African American persuasion. We pretty much know how Americans are siding on the grand jury ducking an indictment on the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson. The St. Louis Police Officers Association probably would have been better off taking a pass – but noooooo!
Should the punishment for breaking a Political Commandment be losing your gig? I am talking about taking shots at the White House kids and in this case the President’s daughters. The GOP staffer in question also took some shots at the President and the First Lady but then apologized. Here is from an AP story:
An aide to a Republican congressman resigned Monday after her Facebook post criticizing President Barack Obama’s daughters touched off a backlash.
Elizabeth Lauten, communications director to Rep. Stephen Fincher of Tennessee, said 16-year-old Malia Obama and her sister Sasha, 13, should have shown more “class” at a turkey-pardoning ceremony last week at the White House.
Addressing her comments directly to the Obama girls, Lauten wrote that they should “respect the part you play,” and added: “Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.”
Lauten also urged the Obama girls to “dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar.”
Lauten later apologized for the comments and deleted the original post, which drew harsh criticism across social media.
Ms. Lauten apologized and got a ton of bad run in the national media. Hey, let her keep her gig. She learned a valuable lesson.

It looks like last year’s MLB dinger champ, Nelson Cruz, will be playing in the AL West with the Mariners – DRATS!
