Politico had a headline yesterday that I had to check out that read: Texas GOP touts its Hispanic model. Huh!
It says the Lone Star State GOP is nice to Latinos and doesn’t use harsh rhetoric and go after them. You gotta be kidding! Let’s see now sanctuary cities, voter suppression, Voter I.D. laws, and being outraged over deferred action.
The writer of the article quotes a number of GOPers and at the end of the piece finally gets around to quoting a couple of Dems. The writer just should have looked at the November 6 election results in Latino neighborhoods.
Lights Out is hanging up his cleats. After the 2007 season, the ‘Stros shipped Lights Out and Eric Bruntlett to the Phillies. Name the players we got from the Phillies in return.
All I can say is that this new Chron.com and HoustonChronicle.com is not too easy to use. In the Chron hard copy today there is an E-Board take on making sure the HCC and HISD bonds are not dirty deals. I can’t find it online though so you are just going to have to wait. Of course if the E-Board wants the bonds to be done right, then they are going to have to follow the money if you know what I mean. They need to ask a lot of questions.
In November of 2007, the Phillies sent over Michael Bourn, Mike Costanzo, and Geoff Geary of course.
11-1 sounds A-Okay to me.
A $30 million payroll this season is what the ‘Stros said we will have. Then expect a $30 million team and $30 million season and no long bathroom lines.
